Cartagena | Roman History by the Sea

If you drive a little out from Bolnuevo, you’ve got to visit Cartagena it’s one of the oldest and most historic port cities in Spain. The Roman Theatre is the most popular spot here. When I went there for the first time, it honestly felt like I had travelled back in time. There’s also a museum right next to it where you can see some really cool Roman Empire relics. Walk around the Old Town the tiny cobblestone streets, colourful balconies, and little local shops give it such a nice vibe. If you’re into photography, you can take some amazing pictures here. And if you feel like shopping, don’t skip Calle Mayor you’ll find local souvenirs and handmade crafts there. And when you start feeling hungry, trust me, having lunch by the waterfront is the best move. The sea breeze makes the fresh seafood taste even better definitely try it out. There are lots of good places around, but my favourite spot is near La Catedral Café perfect for just sitting back and relaxing. I always tell families and clients about this place, and if they rent a car, I make sure to recommend coming here.

On the way you’ll pass small towns and fishing villages I often stop at a local café in one of them for a quick coffee and some fresh pastries. It’s a small local experience that makes the trip even more special.
Pro Tip: Rent a best car so you can explore freely. You can stop wherever you like, take photos, dip your feet in hidden coves, and enjoy the coastal drive at your own pace. It’s one of those trips where the journey is just as amazing as the destination.
Sierra Espuña Natural Park For Nature , in spain
Distance: 60 km | Drive Time: 1 hour
If you want a little break from the coast, head into the mountains. Sierra Espuña is full of lush green forests, peaceful hiking trails, and amazing mountain viewpoints that make the drive totally worth it.
Along the way, you’ll pass small villages like Totana and Alhama de Murcia both perfect spots to stop for a coffee or enjoy a nice local meal.
